Nova 1 East in Buffalo
Providence 10 East in Indianapolis(2 seed is Kentucky)
Butler 4 West in Sacramento
Creighton 4 MW in Sacramento
Xavier 4 South in Orlando(I don't think the committee would do- they have Florida as 5 seed- don't think they would put 4 seed at disadvantage like that)
Seton Hall 11(PIG) South in Buffalo

Providence is the sneakiest team in the conference this year. Preseason, I'm glad I called out all of you fools that picked an Ed Cooley-coached team 9th.

I'm obviously biased, but I'd take Seton Hall's resume over all 4 teams that Lunardi gave his last 4 byes to over them. Especially Oklahoma State, who doesn't have a win over anyone remotely close to the field of 68.

However I would take their bracket, that's an easy path to an elite 8 matchup with Xavier.

easy path? Minnesota, Notre Dame, West Virginia(in 3rd game in 5 days), and Indiana is no easy path.

I kinda see the same issue with VCU. They lack a signature win (a sub-.500 Princeton is their best win), but they are somehow in the field of 68. Princeton is in the field as an auto-bid, but they are looking pretty shaky so far this season. Princeton has disappointed me more than almost any team. I thought they would be really, really good this year.

EDIT: The win over VCU win over LSU was okay too, but it's light years away from being "signature."

Teams that are not supposed to get in the field will get in via conference tournaments. The bubble is a bad place to be for more teams than not.

really though that's not going to be the case this year. Very few situations this year would create a bid thief. Maybe Wichita in the MVC and then maybe a UConn can steal a bid in the AAC. But that's really just about it.

I also need to ask, what has Dayton done to deserve to be an 8 seed right now? Besides playing the RPI game by not scheduling anyone too terrible. They haven't beaten anyone that would be an at large bid (Winthrop has a decent RPI that will obviously fall, and is currently penciled into the field as a conference champ). Considering the state of the A10 this year, the Flyers could very well go before the selection committee without a single top 50 win on their resume.

Creighton should be a 3. Seton Hall should be at least a 9.
