I thought this thread might be fun to bump. Who would have thought 7 teams in the tourney?great season all.

EDIT:upon further review, looks like Westbrook had 7 in
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

The thought process for these picks needs to be a 30 for 30

Nah. Let's bump this actually.

Let's just evaluate this real quick. His picks minus the actual finish:
-5 Creighton
-4 Georgetown
-3 DePaul
-3 Xavier
-3 Seton Hall
-2 St. John's
+1 Villanova
+4 Marquette
+6 Providence
+8 Butler

That's pretty damn amazing.

Yeah, you would think just by accident he would have gotten someone right! He seems to pick with the heart. Butler at 10 was a head scratcher. He did have SH and St Johns higher than most, so you have to give him that. Also, X and Creighton suffering injuries screwed a lot of things up at the end.

And since I'll use this same selection sample next season...let me just copy that post. Thanks milksteak. Much to my chagrin I am crediting your Bulldogs with 3 W's (3 credits) in the dance towards a conf total of 17.

Good hunting to all our BE brothers in the NCAA Tournament. Go Big East!

Fixed it...how they finished in the regular season standings (which is what he was predicting) and the teams' seeding in the tournament are not the same thing.

Still atrocious predictions, nonetheless.

Fixed your fixed post, came here to sort of pat myself on the back for getting the 7 in the tourney prediction right and couldn't let gtmo slide that easily for predicting Nova 7th. He missed by 6 spots regardless of who tied for how many spots, but then again I missed Providence by 5 spots, so what do I know?

With all due respect for the great year Butler and Nova had.. given all the production that was lost, the strength of the conference, the lack of proven, experienced talent, and the way the team finished .. Ed Cooley had his finest coaching job and should have been honored with COY.

I was wrong on Butler. I was especially wrong on PC. I was wrong with both G'town and DePaul. Missed on Chrabacz as a All-League and was wrong on Peak having a big year.

I got Hart as a Wooden Finalist and 1st Team AA; predicted 6 BE teams in tourney; 4 top 4 seeds. Had CU and X not lost their star PG's I think we would have hit that. Interesting how pretty much everyone was bullish on the Hoyas preseason. Oye'. Who missed expectations more this year Indiana or G'town? Both fan bases can't be happy being this far from any post season tourney.
Go Nova!
