Johnnies get Keita a 6'9 240 lb big transfer from South Carolina. Sit 1 play 3. Former 4 star recruit. Big pickup needed size desperately.

so Tremont Waters commits to LSU. He's the last 4 or 5 star guy out there I believe.

So lets look at the class.
11 Xavier 2 4 stars
19 Providence 2 4 stars
23 Creighton 3 4 stars
26 Villanova 2 4 stars
34 Butler 1 4 star
41 Seton Hall 1 4 star
56 Marquette
73 DePaul
75 Georgetown
106 St Johns 1 4 star
total of 12 4 stars
avg class rating of 46.4

lets look at comparisons....
2014 1 5 star, 16 4 stars
2015 2 5 star, 9 4 stars
2016 1 5 star, 12 4 stars
2017 0 5 star, 12 4 stars

by my rating system from earlier in the thread. 5 points for 1-10, 4 points for 11-20, 3 points for 21-30, 2 points for 31-40, 1 point for 41-50
2014 18
2017 17
2015 13
2016 12

top 100 recruits
2014 15
2017 11
2016 7
2015 7

by avg class
2017 46.4
2014 50.6
2016 52.7
2015 60.4

To me, the 2014 class is still the gold standard. 17 4 or 5 star guys to only 12. With most of them in the top 100. I was wrong when I said this was worst class looking at the numbers. The last few pick ups cemented that.

Looks like PC's 4 star 2017 power forward Nate Watson is ready for the Big East 6'10" 260

Well sure, but aren't you at least a little worried that he might miss a few practices protecting the gates of Valhalla?

Xavier is actually bringing in 3 4 stars not 2.

according to 247 composite, which is what we've used all along in this thread as the metric, Xavier has 2 4 stars. Scruggs and Marshall.

Illinois transfer Jalen Coleman-Lands has committed to DePaul.

He'll sit out a season before he's eligible for 2018-19.

247 is horrible. Harden is a 4 star on ESPN, Scout, and Rivals and the composite is supposed to be a combination of those rankings.

Yeah but on Stever's board he's a 0 star, which makes the 247's composite accurate. Had he gone to Georgetown he'd be a 1 star, maybe a 2 if he was a unanimous 5 star everywhere else, but Stever must remain fair and bias...ahem, unbiased.

Looking at things- on ESPN he's like the #39 shooting guard. His rating of 80 is as low as possible for a 4 star. The composite doesn't just look at # of stars, but also where they are ranked.

His rating on 247 composite is about as high as you can be for a 3 star. .9195- to be a 4 star it's .9200.

Really it's about the same thing.
