Seton Hall will almost certainly bring in at least one more player (I'd guess more). It's really just a matter of who and nothing else is likely to happen until the Duval chip falls. If they don't get him, they'll likely need 2 point guards (a grad transfer to start next year and a freshman to develop). If they do land him, they can address other areas, though I imagine a freshman 4yr point guard should still be a priority.

The issue is, with Duval taking so long, how many other options are they going to miss out on by waiting for him?

Same thing is happening with us and Bowen. Couple of Rivals guys think he is now a Creighton lean so maybe the waiting will pay off but im still doubtful...

Trier just annouced he's coming back to Arizona and Bridges is coming back to MSU. Potentially great news for Bowen to Creighton. Jerry Meyer just changed his prediction to Creighton.

The rumors of Bowen to DePaul are real and not being talked about by most in recruiting circles. They are going hard after the La Lu head coach (who loves the Lincoln Park area) and the hope is he will bring Bowen. They are selling the new arena and Chicago market to Bowen and obviously the ability to be the man.

They aren't being talked about because Bowen himself has NEVER mentioned DePaul. Not once. Despite the fact that he's mentioned teams like Ohio State and Oregon who are late to the party. Their new arena could be made of gold. They still have one of the worst major conference basketball programs in America, zero student support (not likely to change with new arena unless they win), and average facilities outside of the new arena. Why would Bowen go to DePaul? So he can play for a 10 win team, in a mid-size new arena with 2,500 people in attendance and be the "man"?

That's all they have to sell to him. He can be the man at Creighton. Plus he can play for an NCAA tournament team, in front of 17,000 every night, and be the face of a team in a market where he isn't dwarfed by the Cubs, Sox, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Bears.

If he goes to DePaul because his HS assistant is hired, then the teams that miss on him are probably going to be thankful.

This article seems to explain why Creighton can recruit Waters, he never enrolled at Georgetown.

I'm obviously not saying he is a lock to DePaul and I don't think its probable he will end up in Chicago but the DePaul staff is going hard after him. Time will tell.

It may be worth pointing out that Creighton just had an assistant position open up as well...

I've seen that clause but the fact that it says it applies to anyone who signs an NLI even if they're released seems to imply it doesn't matter if you haven't enrolled yet. I mean the NLI is only used to bind you to a school until you enroll. Once you're enrolled it doesn't matter anymore. You don't need release from a NLI after you enroll to leave the school. That clause is stating that it doesn't matter if you transferred to another school in between you cannot transfer back into the big east. For instance Shayok is transferring from UVA. He Signed a NLI at Marquette but was released and did not play there. But even so he's not allowed to play at any other BE school because he originally signed at Marquette although did not enroll. You also cannot drop down to Juco and then come back. That's all it's saying. It's definitely not 100% clear but I'm fairly sure that clause does not absolve him.

Would hate to have to face the kid twice a year. Hopefully he comes to his senses and comes back to Georgetown.
