12 4 star guys right now...

doesn't look like will beat the 2014 class- with it's 17 4/5 star guys and 4 top 20 classes. It'll be close- but no cigar.

Thanks for keeping our expectations in check. Where would we all be without the constant reminders that we shouldn't get too excited about anything positive for the conference?

Another interesting observation, I only counted 8 commits in their top 150 that are from non-major conferences, 2 are for Western Kentucky and the "American" only has 4 and the highest is 106...

Hopefully there's at least 1 more late pickup still to come!

Maybe someone here can speak to this.

Based on BE rules since Waters signed a NLI at Georgetown even though he was released he cannot play at another BE school:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/butler.sidearmsports.com/documents/2016/5/19/Butler_Student_Athlete_Handbook.pdf
See Page 10:
"Student-athletes in the sports of men’s and women’s basketball are not permitted to
transfer (directly or indirectly) from one BIG EAST institution to another BIG EAST
institution and compete in the sports of men’s and women’s basketball.
However,
these student-athletes may transfer (directly or indirectly) from one BIG EAST institution
to another BIG EAST institution and may participate in sports other than men’s
and women’s basketball pursuant to the transfer parameters in the next clause. There
are no exceptions or waivers to this rule.

 Student-athletes in all other sports may transfer (directly or indirectly) from one BIG
EAST institution to another BIG EAST institution and compete in any sport other
than men’s and women’s’ basketball, provided that prior to competing for the second
Conference institution the student-athlete serves a year in residency at the second
Conference institution. During the year in residency [two full semesters or three full
quarters (which shall be determined in accordance with NCAA rules associated with
transfers)] the student-athlete shall not lose a year of eligibility, and shall be eligible
to practice and receive athletically related financial aid. There are no exceptions or
waivers to this rule.
Special Notes
1. A student-athlete who signs a valid National Letter of Intent with a BIG EAST institution
is subject to the above-mentioned transfer policy for the sport in which they
signed the NLI.
2. A student-athlete who signs a valid National Letter of Intent with a BIG EAST institution,
and is subsequently granted a complete release to said NLI or is granted a release
by the NLI Steering Committee, is subject to the above-mentioned transfer policy
for the sport in which they signed the NLI."

Yet it's been stated that Creighton is pursuing Waters.

Am I missing something? Did Creighton just not get the memo? Seems odd a coaching staff would make that big of a goof, but the rules seem pretty clear.

Seton Hall will almost certainly bring in at least one more player (I'd guess more). It's really just a matter of who and nothing else is likely to happen until the Duval chip falls. If they don't get him, they'll likely need 2 point guards (a grad transfer to start next year and a freshman to develop). If they do land him, they can address other areas, though I imagine a freshman 4yr point guard should still be a priority.

The issue is, with Duval taking so long, how many other options are they going to miss out on by waiting for him?

The Creighton and Waters thing is interesting, but from what I've heard there is mutual interest and the Jays are very much involved. I have to assume the staff is aware of something that we aren't, otherwise that would just be a giant waste of time.
