the graphic would be great..... if the class was over. but there's still like 14 top 100 guys left, and BE isn't in on many of them at all.

and it shows what the conference views as being important. Not 4 star guys, but rather as I've argued, top 100 guys. I'll remember this graphic, and when we get to May, we'll relook at the metrics the conference espoused as being important.

looking at the 247 ranks which we've been using all along....
Xavier 9
Butler 18
Villanova 36
Creighton 44
Georgetown 50
Marquette 51
Providence 53
DePaul 62
Seton Hall 79
St John's 82
avg class 48.4. Up actually by 0.2 spots(DePaul moved up 6 slots).

5 star small forward Brian "Tugs" Bowen will take his 3rd visit to Omaha tomorrow to watch Creighon play Villanova. Things are getting serious :D .

This is getting interesting....

Continue to hear that Creighton is a legitimate landing spot, perhaps the favorite, for five-star wing Brian Bowen. Bluejays' staff, particularly assistant Preston Murphy, has been aggressive the last few months. Arizona also heavily involved, Michigan State and Texas in the mix.

Meet the newest Golden Eagle:

Harry Froling chooses Marquette after short stint at SMU – ESPN – January 10, 2017
SMU transfer Harry Froling is headed to Marquette.

The 6-foot-11 Australian told ESPN that he chose to play for coach Steve Wojciechowski after taking visits to both Marquette and Oregon State.

"The visit was great and the overall knowledge and past playing experience all of the coaches had was unbelievable," Froling told ESPN. "Most if not all had played pro or at high-level colleges, and I knew it was a place that was going to challenge me. By no means will it be easy, and being from Duke and with Coach being tutored by Coach K [Mike Krzyzewski], he knows what it takes. Another thing I loved about the staff was how honest they were. They didn't tell me what I wanted to hear."

Froling averaged 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 10 games this season. He will sit out and be eligible after the first semester next season.

Report: Froling to transfer to Marquette, petition NCAA – CBS Sports – January 10, 2017
SMU transfer Harry Froling will commit to Marquette and petition to the NCAA to be eligible for the entirety of the 2017-18 season, according to a report from FOX Sports.

Froling left SMU earlier this year, and NCAA rules would usually preclude him from playing until the second semester of next season. The Australia native will have two years of eligibility beyond next season.

The Golden Eagles should have an intriguing frontline of newcomers next season with Froling joining 2017 three-star recruits Theo John and Ike Eke in Milwaukee.

not sure why the NCAA would grant the ability to play right away. Don't think there's any shot of that at all- it would set a very dangerous precedent. It's not like it was 1 or 2 games he played- he played in 10 games.

The NCAA rules state there is no penalty, no sit out, if the player crosses division lines. Therefore Froling will not be forced to sit out as he came from a Div 2 school (SMU) and conference (AAC). Had he transferred from a true Div1 school he would face the normal penalties and sitout requirements.

 ;)
