Xavier's Larry Austin Jr. To Transfer

Postby JohnW22 » Thu Apr 14, 2016 10:56 am

Writing was on the wall with Goodin coming in and taking the back up minutes for Sumner which I imagine won't be much. Larry was a good defender but small with no jump shot really hurt his offensive game. Wish him the best. Xavier with 2 open scholarships, 3 if Jalen leaves. 2017 class will be big and also be the one to replace Xavier's 2014 class which brought Blueitt, Sumner, Macura, and O'Mara and is the reason Xavier can compete in the top half of the Big East.

We X fans liked him a lot too. Wish him well. Xavier better get someone at guard for next season, preferably through the transfer route. Whoever they get can sit next season because we will be fine, but we are going to be in serious need for 2017-2018 when we lose both Davis and (presumably) Sumner.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

A traditional transfer point guard or combo guard would be perfect to set up the 2017-2018 season, especially because Goodin will probably be able to play off the ball.
