Question About Kris Dunn's Draft Status Last Year

Obviously Kris is a Lottery Pick this year, and good for him. Great kid, great for Providence and the Big East to have a kid like this being one of the first picks. With that being said, did Kris test the waters last year? If he did go pro, does anybody remember around what pick he was supposed to be drafted?

He did not test the waters last year (a little more difficult to do last year before the rule changes) but did take some time to think about it and get feedback.

He was a lock for the first round and predicted to be just around, or just outside, the lottery. Draftexpress had him at 13 in their mock draft before Dunn announced he was returning to PC. Many figured late teens with the opportunity to move into the lottery with good workouts.

Point Guards Jerian Grant and Delon Wright went 19 and 20 last year.

Late first rounder if he went.

Smilar to whitehead this year, a little better than josh hart.

NovaBall, what are your thoughts about Hart? Do you think he will be back?

Since 'Ball hasn't wakened nor had breaky...allow me to interject.
IMHO Hart is history, gone, caput-fini-magno. May wind up playing in GS/Phoenix, D-League, or Europe.
Soo that makes Arch, Ochefu, Hart gone (as well as reserves Farrell, Lowe, and Rafferty). Ouch! ;)

I think Hart is a 2/3 chance to come back. From what I've seen he's barely into the back end of the 1st round, best case scenario. If he comes back and improves his outside shot some and shows he can create his own shot off the dribble a little more easily, he might be able to slide into the late lottery area maybe. At least that's how I hope it plays out.

You are way off on that. Top 20 with opportunity to go lottery with good workouts. DraftExpress has been one of the most reliable and they had him at 13.

Definitely quite a bit higher than Whitehead and much higher than Hart per anyone who evaluates these things.

Hart is more similar to Bentil this year. Very different situation than Dunn last year, who was locked into first round.

I think Whitehead's status is interesting because I think he can make a good pro.

Hart 50% chance of returning
Jenkins 70% chance of returning

And that wouldn't be bad, because Bridges and Paschall do a lot of the things well that Hart does well.
