Yea thats a ridiculous comparison. There is a perfect comparison for Villanova: Kansas. Wins every conference championship. Has a reputation for flaming out in tourney, though Nova destroyed that this year (Congrats again!). But Kansas being dominant doesn't hurt the B12, it just elevates the other 9. Especially with the round robin. I guess she just couldn't bring herself to compare Nova to Kansas and B Big East o the B12.

Yep, is it the Kansas league and nobody else. That is never said.
Yes, Villanova has won 3 straight regular season title, but one tournament title.
Never said that Xavier was in the Top 10 most of the season.

This is the same ESPN Dana O'Neil who called the Big East "a circus" as the conference was just getting organized.
You know what the circus really is? ESPN running around taking every effort to yell how the Big East just shouldn't be taken seriously in some sort of way. Pathetic.

She was specifically asked what challenges are facing the Big East. While the comparison with UConn women is overstated, her essential point is valid, which is that for the new Big East to capture respect as a league, there have to be more teams than just Villanova getting to the Final Four and beyond - especially the traditional powers in big media centers like St. John's and Georgetown

No word on Xavier, Providence or Butler, they have been winning. How about Marquette returning to it's winning ncaa tourament ways. She is calling out, Seton Hall. Give them credit for finally turning it around.

so she thinks that if Villanova continues to win and dominate in the BE they will be like the UConn women who continue to win and dominate in their conference?
