Entertainment for the day...

Sorry, if this was posted already, but it's hilarious. Some UNC babies were so upset that the NCAA didn't gift them the National Championship (it is their God-given right after all) that they started a petition to have the NCAA overturn the result of the title game.

https://www.change.org/p/national-i-wan ... overturned

All I hear is "waahhhhh, big bad Villanova pushed around our tissue-paper soft players!" Well that's what you get from playing in a soft league where breathing on someone is a foul- when it's time to play real basketball, you get bullied. And that's what happened to the Heels.

Really though, some of troll comments on here (I believe mostly from Duke fans) are gold.

the thing that's funny a lot of their fouls called were the soft variety- freedom of movement.

went back and looked at stats....
conference FTR(which just looks at conference games)...
Big East #9 38.4%
ACC #29 34%

so believe it or not, the Big East games had more free throws than ACC games did.

I think the other stat that would amaze you...
Tempo
Big East #4 71.1 poss per game
ACC #32 66.4 poss per game

this is no fluke...
2015-
BE #16 64.7 poss per game
ACC #23 63.3 poss per game

2014-
BE #22 65.0 poss per game
ACC #32 61.8 poss per game

what's funny is look pre-realignment
2013-
ACC #13 65.5 poss per game
BE #29 63.5 poss per game

Those numbers make sense. Higher pace of play = more possessions = more opportunities for free throws. The ACC's pace of play stayed fairly consistent with conference realignment and Big East's jumped a little bit at first and then significantly this year.

Don't mistake pace of play with physicality though. The ACC has teams like Virginia and Notre Dame (at least they used to play this way, idk if they still do) that refuse to run and like to take the air out of the ball on every possession. It's also a common strategy against the top 3-4 teams. The Big East, on the other hand, has a bunch of teams that like to run but that doesn't mean they don't battle in the paint. Seton Hall, for example, likes to get out and run but they're also monsters on the offensive boards.

This is hilarious.

Highlights from the comment section:

Guy making believe he's Tyler Hainsbrough:
"The refs were very bias. Many times they let Villinova get away with alot of walks. As a basketball player I can tell you that letting a guy travel like that makes him hard to defend. Are guys work very hard on the court and in the classroom. Its not write for them to loose the game because of the refs. This was there championship that the refs stole."
- Tyler Hansbrough, Pleasant Hill, NC

And Julius Peppers of course:
"I agree with petishun. I play ball good. UNC is good. Refs are bad. I put hand in dirt and sack refs. I like football. Football good. Refs bad. Go Heels."
- Julius Peppers, Bailey, NC

And Michael:
"I lost a ton of cash on this game."
- Michael Jordan, Saint Augustine, FL

Roy Williams chimed in:
"Daggum rayuffs up 'n given the game to VillainNova. Had the nerve to not call a foul on them once when someone up 'n stood next to Brice while he was dunkin'. Jest plain wrong."
- Ole Roy, Harbor View, OH

The Donald is aboard:
"North Carolina deserves the title. UNC has tried to make college basketball great again by hankering back to an era where athletes attending class wasn't actually necessary. Villanova is a scourge on college basketball. When they send their players, they don't send the best. They send their second round draft picks, chubby kids who make title winning 3s, and white pgs with last names I can't pronounce, and some, I assume, are talented athletes."
- Donald J. Trump, New York, NY

Here's a Kentucky fan I'm guessing:
"Yes! Yes the NCAA is all about integrity! No funny business allowed! I think that the NCAA should get right on it.... after their five year un-investigation into decades of fraud committed throughout the sports programs at UNC, and fully punishes the program with the removal of wins and championships attained by "student" (riiiiight) athletes that were unworthy of participation, is complete. And while they're at, take a look at the jackasses that moved Villanova out of Philadelphia for the NCAA Tournament to protect UNC from playing them in Philly. VILLANOVA deserved that spot. The committee-of-little-integrity protected UNC.... and Duke, as always. Sure... I'll sign your petition you d&@# idiot!"
- John Renschler, Carrollton, KY

And finally, an innocent UNC fan:
"Yesterday was a rough day and today is a little better but my heart is still broken . Watching your beloved team lose is devasting but a loss is worse when horrible officating is going on ! This was the NCAA Championship.. And of all the millions of refs in America and we get these two ??? Really?? I am not being a sore loser. I have watched Basketball all my life and I have never seen such poor officating in a game ! Seems every year officating gets worse ! It's really no wonder why sports fans think sports is rigged ! I will go to my grave believing ( knowing ) that the refs cheated ! It's time for people to take their blinders off and realize that the sports world is all about my money and greed ! It's not about fans hearts . It's about fans money ! I hate it because I love Basketball ! It's my heart and I could watch college Basketball every day and never get tired of it like I know most of you feel the same way . But I am tired of seeing bad officating going on.! I know Refs aren't perfect and at times bad calls will happen when they are doing their best . But no way bad calls would have been made like the ones we saw during the NCAA Championship if they had the best of the best refs out there ! But moving on .. Looking forward to next Season. But just disappointed the way out Soorts World is today. It's Not going to get any better , just worse ! :(:( "

The funny thing with the last one is if it was all about money then the fix would have been in for UNC to win. hahaha She must have been a African Studies major at UNC. hahaha

Also the biggest crybabies are usually the folks who didn't even go to the school! i used to see it every other year at MSG when Duke would come to town to play us. Tons of Duke "fans" yelling and screaming about how SJU sucks and this and that.I'd get so annoyed i'd yell at them for being front runners and that they were to stupid to have gotten into Duke. haha Guys looking and sounded like Jersey Shore rejects being HUGE Duke "fans" were always the biggest whiners. Same goes for UNC, look at the comments section of ESPN and look at the commenters FB page. Most went to community colleges or smaller schools but NOT UNC.

The petition itself is sad funny, but the comments afterwards are absolutely hilarious. Talk about opening yourself up to national scorn!

Had me curious, so I went on one of their forums and it is ridiculous how many threads they have just on the horrible officiating and how they were robbed of their title...    I get to hear it in person also, since I'm surrounded by them down here in Carolina. :D
