3.) Agree with former schools to separate early - check
4.) Retain Big East name - check
5.) Retain NCAA units - check
6.) Retain Madison Square Garden in long term deal - check
7.) Secure TV contract that will pay out $2.5 million more per school than under any old contract - check
8.) Have nine of ten schools ranked at some point during first three years - check
9.) Have eight different schools qualify for NCAA tournament over three year span - check
10.) Have winning record against schools for the Football Five - check
11.) Obtain a 1 seed in NCAA tournament - check
12.) Have a 4-2 record against Syracuse - check
13.) In third year of new configuration, beat a blue blood from the Big XII to get to the final four - check
14.) Set record for largest margin of victory in a Final Four Game - check
15.) Beat blue blood UNC from the ACC for the National Championship on a buzzer beating three pointer - CHECK!!!!!!!!!!!

Three years...
Big......East.......

All there is left to do is go back to #15 and repeat.

This is an excellent thread.

If we're throwing the 'Cuse into the mix, then may I add in whacking UC two years in a row. Small item for sure as compared to that list, but why can't a list like this be expansive.

It's crazy how much those conferences get away with saying about the Big East without actually being good.

Let's now forget Denver won the national title as a Big East member in lacrosse last May.

You forgot a few:

Have a #1 team in the nation during the season
Have multiple matches between top 10 teams in the season
Have a top 5 match between teams in a season
