The top ten will be the usual suspects. X might get a top 15 or so, but I can't see national media giving them top ten. Had they beat Wisconsin and Notre Dame, probably top 10 - but voters would also consider who is leaving the program.

Big East teams that should be in the preseason top 25
1. Nova - Assuming Hart returns Nova will continue to be the class of the big east, plus likely top ten team, with who they have returning and the studs they are bringing in.
2. Xavier - I think another top ten team with their core studs coming back and a very good recruiting class coming in
3. Seton Hall - Assumes that Whitehead comes back. Would bring back essentially their entire team and could be top 15 in preseason rankings

Big East teams that could be in top 25
4. Creighton - Bring back most of their team including Maurice Watson and Cole Huff plus add 5 star center Justin Patton and stud transfer Marcus Foster. I think they are deserving but the national pundits may go with larger name schools.
5. Marquette - Assumes Henry Ellenson comes back which probably won't happen. If he does than Marquette will bring back its entire roster plus a great transfer in Andrew Rowsey and top 100 shooter Sam Hauser. They also are the leaders in picking up a commitment in 5 star guard Markus Howard. May be a bit of a homer pick but Ellenson coming back plus a Howard commitment would easily give Marquette a top 25 roster.

Georgetown will be a top 25 team next year.

That team quit this year. But they have a lot of talent returning. I don't think there was good chemistry on the floor this year. Probably would have been better off if DSR went pro. Could not have been worse anyway.

I admire your optimism, HugeFan, but don't hold your breath.

Xavier will probably be preseason top 10...As long as they only lose Remy Abell and James Farr. A team in the top 10 for the 2nd half of the year only losing 17.1 ppg, 9.4 rpg, and 2.1 apg? That's a team that's preseason top 10.

I mean he's older and has graduated (or will in a month and a half)...It's 51/49 in my thinking. He's a guy that seems to have NBA on the mind, not Greece, Italy or Latvia and he truly loves X. Only he knows, but gun to my head, if I had to guess, I'd say he comes back.
