I was speechless. My heart sank along with that shot that killed Xavier's season. It was just devastating to see and I felt HORRIBLE for all of the Xavier team and our Xavier brethren. Just awful. All that aside, that's certainly not going to take away from this great season Xavier had!

Who's out?
*James Farr-Bruising big man who could also really shoot and rebound will be sorely missed
*Remy Abell-The athletic sharpshooting wing will also be dearly missed. They were both key players in this great Xavier season.

Who's returning?
*Kaiser Gates-Had an excellent frosh season. It'll be interesting to watch his development.
*Edmond Sumner-Was a stud this year! Especially early on. It'll also be interesting to watch his development as well.
*Sean O'Mara-Bruising big man who can really rebound and score in the paint.
*JP Macura-One of the conferences best sophs this season. Kid is a sniper, man.
*Trevon Blueitt-I'd say he's the teams best and most talented player. Excellent shooter and offensive player in general.
*Myles Davis-Another excellent shooter.
*Jalen Reynolds-Was another HUGE piece to Xavier's successful season. Dude is a STUD. Was an absolute BEAST on Sunday.

Who's in?
*Eddie Ekiyor-HS kid from Canada. 6"9.
*Quentin Goodin-HS kid from Kentucky. Heard he's killing it in his senior year.
*Tyrqiue Jones-HS kid from Connecticut. Heard he's a bruising big man.
*Rashid Gaston-Sat out this season after transferring from Norfolk State. A sit 1-play 1 player. Dude is 6"9 240 (!!). That's like the average size of a Tight End haha.

Bottom Line: Xavier should be a team to beat next season. Chris Mack just doesn't stop with the great recruiting and player development. Xavier is becoming a BigEast powerhouse, y'all.

Good write up but you might want to switch Reynolds to the who's out side. When asked if he's returning next year he said "It's in gods hands now" which means no

That would be dumb. I doubt he gets drafted.

europe is always an option. more and more kids do that these days. I don't believe in hanging on to a kid. let them go and you try to find the next one. they have a slew of bigs coming in. turn the page and move on.

I agree about Europe but why not get your degree first and improve your game and maybe the NBA might be an option....

He's on track to graduate this May, so he will have his degree.

He's 23 right now. He was planned to be a freshman with Dee Davis but grades weren't good enough so went to prep school then after his year of prep school his grades were still too low. Not many teams like 24-25 year old rookie big men.

Are we sure Reynolds is gone? I remember a few years ago, Villanova had a guy named Antonio Pena who prepped a year and then redshirted when he was in school, so he was very old for his class. Every year, people said he'd leave early because of his age. And he ended up staying and using all his eligibility.

Fact is, Xavier was ahead of schedule. Everyone predicted this year would be okay but have its ups and downs due to a freshman PG and missing Stainbrook. Now obviously this season was great, but when push came to shove those 2 warts showed themselves when it counted. So I am expecting next year to be even better.

I think next year might have to be the year for you because I don't know if you can count on Sumner being in school in 2017-18.
