I don't know if St. John's, in their long, glorious history, has ever had a team this bad, so you know he has to be right. The question is, how quickly will it turn around, and how high will they climb. We will see.

People keep saying that but would a team soooo bad hang with the best teams in the conference? 2 close games against X, a close game against Nova and a 1 point loss where we shot 40% from the FT line against Seton Hall. We're not good but we aren't historically bad. Yes, the most losses in a season in a century but it's not like we aren't even competitive.

Of course there have been many worse teams than this, (see Rutgers, and BC), but how many have worn the St. John's uniform? There have been plenty of average, and even below par SJU teams, but seldom has St. John's had terrible teams. That's why this season sticks out like a sore thumb.

far from me from defending St John's- but just 12 years ago they had a year where they were 1-15 in conference play, finished 6-21, and didn't even make the BET. Stony Brook, St Francis NY, Holy Cross, Niagara, UCLA, and Georgetown were their 6 wins that year. So it's not like this years team is that much worse- add in 2 conference losses to that team, and then a BET loss, and it's 24 losses.

Thats the year almost the entire team was kicked out of school after the Pitt incident. We had kids I was in class with playing. One of them actually ended up playing for a few years.
