7:00pm - #1 Villanova @ #5 Xavier, FS1 - Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery

8:00 - Marquette @ Creighton, CBSSN-Carter Blackburn and Pete Gillen

FS1 Puts Full-Court Press on No. 1 Villanova at No. 5 Xavier Wednesday Night
FS1 presents its first ever matchup between two top-five college hoops programs, and the BIG EAST’s first top-five meeting in the conference’s current configuration, Wednesday night as No. 1 Villanova visits No. 5 Xavier at 7:00 PM ET. FS1 extends its coverage of this big game with an on-site studio presence in Cincinnati and a FOX COLLEGE HOOPS EXTRA postgame show, plus FS1’s lead college basketball broadcast duo, the inimitable Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery, call the action.

Coverage begins at 7:00 PM ET as studio host Kevin Burkhardt and analyst Steve Lavin welcome viewers to the Cintas Center before Johnson and Raftery take over from their courtside broadcast location. Burkhardt and Lavin return at halftime and again post-game when they join studio host Rob Stone and analysts Jim Jackson and Casey Jacobsen from Los Angeles for reaction, highlights and in-depth analysis of the BIG EAST and college basketball from around the country until 10:00 PM ET.

I know some people here are convinced that stuff like this doesn't matter, but Nova giving FOX the #1 ranking to flaunt about is huge.

Pretty funny

Sign of the cross, everyone. Genuflect. Bow your heads.

If you are a Catholic and a basketball fan, Wednesday is a newly appointed holy day of obligation. And the obligation is to watch basketball. You aren’t worth your rosary unless you tune in to No. 1 Villanova at No. 5 Xavier at 7 p.m. ET.

Check the @Pontifex Twitter feed for TV details.

This, quite frankly, is the biggest Catholic-school basketball game since the miracle of the Rollie and the fishes in the 1985 national championship game: Villanova 66, Georgetown 64. That Final Four in Lexington, Ky., was the apotheosis of Catholic hoops, and the Big East as well. Three of the four teams were from that conference, and three of the four were Catholic schools – St. John’s was the third.

Thirty-one years later, we finally have two Catholic schools meeting as top-five teams again.

Creighton needs to win tonight at the CLink vs Marquette and then Sunday (again at the CLink) vs St. John's.

If they do that, they're squarely on the bubble.

lol, really?

They lose either of those games and they are out.

Creighton must win both of those games- and then have to at least split next week with @ PC and @ X- to have any shot of making it. Even there, going 20-11 against the #80 SOS might not be good enough.

Do you guys think you can just discuss this around the dinner table later this evening?

Interesting that FS1 doesn't have the scores of other games at the bottom of the screen.

Hell of a game so far.

Hell of a flop from Myles Davis there.

These are two very good teams. Really fun first half.
