Quite obviously, this has not been a great matchup for X. Pack line D tends to allow 3's at will. Maybe more 1-3-1 with special attention to a couple shooters.

Until X beats Nova they are and will remain the undisputed top dog of the Now Big East. Has the time come for at least a small chink in top dog armor?

Need monster games for bigs without foul trouble IMO. Find ways to play both bigs and effectively pass out of double teams when they come. Go X

Game of the year for the big east but KU (1) vs Oklahoma (2) triple OT will be game of the year

I think FS1 should be able to. Xavier-Villanova is by far the best game of the night. There are no match ups between top 25 teams other than X-Nova and only 7 other total top 25 teams in action Wednesday. 3 of those teams are not even on TV. At 7:00 no top 25 teams are playing and ESPN has the NBA Wednesday night so no college basketball games on ESPN. On ESPN2 at 7:00 it's Mississippi State and Texas A&M, so not a great game there. All eyes in the college basketball world will be on FS1 for a likely top 5 matchup. It should be awesome. The Cintas Center will be rocking.

Nova 78
Xavier 72

Xavier fans celebrate as they are able to keep the game within a touchdown.

What is with the Xavier fans and their top dog or flagship talk, when they have yet to beat Villanova in a game? It strikes me as similar to their criticism of Dayton's fans.

PC beat Villanova earlier this season, won the BET the year before, finished in the top half of the Big East every year so far, and not a single fan mentioned anything about ships or dogs. Is this an Ohio thing?

It should be a great game, looking forward to watching it, but, if Xavier wins, it means Villanova wins their third straight regular season title by one less game. And that is all it means.

Did I miss something? All he did was complement Nova.
