Might as well get a thread started on Palm's bracket forecasts at CBS. The first (real) one came out today. Here is the link: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/bracketology. There are five Big East teams in his bracket including Xavier as a 2-seed, Providence as a 3-seed, Villanova and Butler as 4-seeds, and Seton Hall playing in as a 12-seed. Four teams seeded in the top 16 teams works for me.

for the record, his bracketology is MUCH worse than Lunardi's is.

just looking-
X 2 seed MW- vs Southern, then Baylor/New Mexico- in Raleigh. Then UNC in RSF
Villanova 4 E vs Middle Tenn, then GW/Colorado- in Providence. Then Oklahoma in RSF
Butler 4 W vs Hawaii, then Louisville/USC-Kan St- in Spokane. Then Kentucky in RSF
Providence 3 S vs CS Bakersfield, then UCLA- in Denver. Then Purdue in RSF.
Seton Hall- PIG vs Washington, then Dayton- in Spokane(that NEVER happens flying PIG team cross country like that). Then Miami.

Seton Hall his last team in.

Lunardi has X and 'Nova as 3-seeds, PC and Butler as 5-seeds, and the Hoyas as an 8-seed. Perhaps you could explain why Lunardi's bracket is so much better than Palm's. And BTW, Palm has a much better forecast success rate than Lunardi...just sayin'.

not the last few years:
last 2 years- Lunardi is tied for 2nd best, last 3 years, he's tied for 12th.
Palm on the other hand- last 2 years 69th, last 3 years 70th.

I stand corrected. Lunardi is marginally better, but not nearly as much as you state. Lunardi is ranked 36, and Palm is ranked 56, over their entire body of work. Here's the link: http://bracketmatrix.com/rankings.html.

Right- but I'd rather have someone who has gotten better like Lunardi, and not the direction Palm has gone. Last 3 years, it's not been remotely close at all between the two of them.

Yeah, Lunardi descended into mediocrity in the middle years of bracketology but has since risen again in recent years, which is why his overall rank is 20 spots ahead of Jerry Palm, who has been consistently mediocre.

Wish I could lock in those seeds right now!
