There's 8 conferences that have really split away from the others.. F5, AAC, A10, and BE....
right now those standings-
A10 8-2
ACC 6-3
P12 5-3
BE 7-5
B10 5-7
B12 3-5
AAC 2-6
SEC 2-7
like what was said- the A10 has gotten off to a really good start.

I don't think the Big East does or should use the A10 or AAC as benchmarks. I know I don't care about how either is performing. Maybe the A10 for sentimental reasons, but not for comparison purposes.

Tough slate of weekend games, we might be underdogs in all four.

They're the 8 conferences that for all intents and purposes are the multi bid conferences. They are 8 of the top 9 current conference RPI. Right now AAC is #9 at .5254. #10 is the Southern at .5053(or .0201 behind). You add that to the AAC- taking up to .5455- that would be #5, or ahead of the ACC. Right now, the A10 is #6- ahead of the Big Ten and SEC. The thing is right now- if the A10 and AAC continue to do well OOC, that's going to make their conference games MUCH stronger for RPI's. A10 has 1 fewer loss than the Big East does, with 4 more wins. AAC only has 3 more losses right now.
(oh and if you ask who is the one outlier, it's the CAA).

not only that- but then on Monday BE is significant dogs against LSU and Vanderbilt as well with Marquette and St John's. Ken Pom lists the next games with the projections for the games- and of the 10 teams in the conference- 6 teams are underdogs in their next game, with 3 of them being under 30% chance of winning.

I'm only using the F5 in this thread. That's our competition.

Not for NCAA bids. The A10 and AAC are absolutely our competition for NCAA spots.
It's idiotic to say for instance that the St John's win over Rutgers is more important than the Butler win over Temple.

Playing or W/L record against the F5 means nothing to me. Play the Top 25 and win some. Apparently that what counts to the Dance Committee.
