It was against a Division 2 team, but Creighton's offense looks like it could be downright explosive this season with Mo Watson at the helm. Defense needs quite a bit of work.

Iowa lost to Dll Augustana!! Maybe we should have played them rather than Upper Iowa. ((We could call them Lower Iowa) Football is good this year though. Doesn't MU play them in the challange?

Augustana is rated #1 DII team in NABC preseason poll. They likely are better than 1/2 of the D1 teams out there and hence a good exhibition game candidate. No excuses for Iowa, but Augustana is a pretty good team. Dan Jansen, who made the buzzer beater, could play on many D1 teams.

I was just very startled by the loss! Thought Iowa had progressed beyond losing to a Dll team at home. (Even the best Dll team ). Just an exhibition, so hard to know what it really means.

X beat DII Northwood 97-77. Refs called 69 fouls:

"Edmond Sumner led five double-figure scorers with 17 points. Trevon Bluiett added 14 points with a team-high nine rebounds, Remy Abell and J.P. Macura scored 14 points, and Larry Austin Jr. contributed 12 points on 5-for-5 shooting in a foul-laden affair before 9,312 fans".

_ Cincinnati Enq.

PG spot had 29 pts.

No they aren't.

And the best college team in the country can't play within 20 of the worst NBA team either.

They are different levels, with different athletes, in both cases

St John's beat Div-2 Sonoma State 64-46.
Providence beat a good Northeastern team "in a close one".
The Butler win was vs Div-2 St Joseph’s of Indiana, not the Philly Hawks.

I was going tom air some snarky remark about you guys taking exhibition games too seriously.

But then it dawned on me that you guys are just hoops fans getting psyched for the season and that's awesome!

I love the turnout for these games.
