coaches poll

Postby stever20 » Sat Oct 10, 2015 12:56 pm

Was looking back at last year and the coaches poll was released on Oct 16 last year. That was Thursday of this upcoming week.

How many teams do folks think will be in. I'm guessing Villanova for sure. Would guess at least 1 of Georgetown or Butler- and quite possibly both..

As a reminder- SMU won't be eligible for the coaches poll since they are on probation.

My guess is Villanova, Georgetown and Butler. Xavier getting votes. Maybe Providence and Marquette get one or two votes...

My guess is 'Nova, G'Town and Butler. X usually gets the snub until the last poll but that's fine with X fans. We like to "sneak up on people".

Nova in the top 15, Georgetown and Butler in the top 25, and Providence and Xavier receiving votes.

I think Nova may even be top 10 quite frankly- like in that 9-12 level IMO... Georgetown/Butler- it'll be real interesting with those 2. It wouldn't be a shock to see one of those not in there- some of the preseason stuff we've seen has them has them in like 24 or 25. And I wouldn't be shocked if Xavier was in there.

Nova will be in there for sure. After that, could be up to 3, but it's also possible that we get squeezed.

GTown 15-18.

Getting votes in order. X > Marquette > Providence

This isn't a AAC board none of us care if SMU is eligible.

Nova: 10-15
Butler & GTown: 20-30 (on the cusp)
Xavier>Providence>Marquette with votes

It wouldn't shock me if Villanova is the only one ranked in the preseason, with Georgetown, Butler, and Xavier receiving votes. That said, I think Georgetown will end up somewhere in the back 10, while Xavier and Butler will fall between 26-32. Because of the preseason accollades going to Kris Dunn, I could see Providence receiving a few votes too.
