Just saw this:

Butler University Director of Athletics Barry Collier and Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Doug Elgin each will begin four-year terms on the National Invitation Tournament Committee as the NIT LLC restructures the committee make-up beginning with the 2015-16 men’s basketball season.

Interesting news. Don't think it would have helped any team the last 2 years quite frankly get in the NIT from the Big East. Last year Seton Hall at 16-15 wasn't close. Marquette 2 years ago at 17-15 wasn't all that close either.

Barry's the man. He'll do a great job.

I wonder if this may impact the preseason NIT as well(now that WOULD be a HUGE plus IMO).
