Boston College-irrelevant

Syracuse-wins vacated
Rutgers-pick a transgression and they have been irrelevant for years.
Miami-dominated in football in the BEast. Now just another team in the watered done ACC.
Virginia Tech-see Miami

Now Louisville-prostitution etc.

The hits just keep coming!!!!!!!!!

The Beast is doing just fine without this nonsense. I cant say enough great things about the direction of our league. We are starting to scratch the surface of our recruiting. We will be at a superior level very soon. If St. John's does what I think they'll do, it will help the conference tremendously. Can't ignore NYC! Those St. John's, Georgetown, Nova, Marquette (Wojo) recruiting battles should be epic.

I think the statement about the recruiting is iffy at best. The P5 are going to get theirs at least as much as they've already gotten. Maybe we can get more top guys that have been going to AAC, A10, MWC, etc. type of schools.

Now there's a shock, stever bashing/taking a shot at BE recruiting. Who would've imagined that? Anyone think if that statement was made about the AAC, that stever would've felt the need to down play it or take a shot at it? It's a rather tame statement, nothing outlandish about it.

That's not what I said. I said that P5 recruiting is going to maintain where they are.

Also Redman shows how little he knows about stuff....
his list of programs that doesn't get much from the P5-
in ESPN top 100
Virginia Tech- had 1 last year
Oregon- had 2 guys last year, 1 this year
Oregon St- had 2 guys last year
Washington- has 1 guy this year(#12), 3 last year
Rutgers- had 1 guy last year
Florida St- had 3 guys last year(to include #14), 3 this year(to include #9)
Akabama- has 1 guy this year(#9), 1 last year
Auburn(this is the dumbest one)- 2 last year, 2 this year(to include one that he chose over St John's).
and that's just part of his list... Sure some are lower. But my point is the P5 is going to always have like what we've seen the past few years with 65 guys in 2014 and 83 guys in 2015. They have 45 this year so far- with 35 guys left to go. So they're going to be right in the middle of those numbers again this year.

The thing also- of the 19 top 50 guys left, Big East is in only 4 of those battles. and only 10 of the top 100. So assuming the Big East gets all 10 of those- the P5 would be looking at 70 this year.

Also the thing is, if the Big East gets guys that have been going to the AAC, A10, etc.- that's an upgrade in recruiting. 11 top 100 guys going to non P5/BE schools in the '16 class so far. If we got a good deal of those- That's a big upgrade.

Whatever.

Funny, whenever there's an opportunity to down play or marginalize the BE(and yes you did) you show up. stever, holylandofhoops BE "expections manager". But go ahead and waste other post on this subject, I'm done publicly disagreeing with you, it's just a waste of my time.

So your theory is that 10 BE schools getting fewer top 100 recruits than 65 P5 schools=failure? Cool story bro.

The teams at the top of the 16 Team Big East were Louisville, Syracuse and UConn over the past 10-15 years. UConn was hit with NCAA sanctions a couple of years ago. Syracuse was hit with NCAA sanctions this spring.
And if these stories are true, Louisville will be sanctioned by the NCAA as well. Must be a coincidence.

I really think what we're going to see is that our recruiting if it improves will be at the cost of conferences such as the A10 or AAC or MWC. It's tough to see the P5 recruiting falling off.

Current Cardinal player Montrezl Harrell claims that he is "as shocked as Coach P" by these revelations. You know what? I believe that statement

Thanks, I totally forgot to mention UConn on my transgression list.

Former Louisville commit and current OSU Buckeye JaQuan Lyle confirmed the story as being accurate.

Also, a 1990 book on Pitino, written by Armen Keteyian said that Pitino once took his BU Terriers to a strip joint after a big win at URI. I looked it up... this would have been January of 1980, winning on the road.

The book says he gave the players dollar bills to enjoy themselves. Pitino never denied the story. Instead he said that the mistook a Providence strip joint for a restaurant. Not that i care.
