1st Team All- American, last 50 years
(2)Jim Walker - Prov.
Dean Meminger - Marq.
Ernie DiGregorio - Prov.
Jim Chones - Marq.
Marvin Barnes - Prov.
Mark Aquire - DePaul
Terry Cummings - DePaul
Sleepy Floyd - G'town
(3)Patrick Ewing - G'town
Chris Mullin - SJU
Walter Berry - SJU
Reggie Williams - G'town
Alonzo Mourning - G'town
Allen Iverson - G'town
Kerry Kittles - Nova
Dwayne Wade - Marq.
David West - Xavier
Ryan Gomes - Prov.
Randy Foye - Nova
Scottie Reynolds - Nova
(3) Dougie McBuckets - Creighton
Otto Porter - G'town

I'm thinking the multiple AA winners are naturally on the first team all-time:
Ewing
McBuckets
Walker

The two best COLLEGE careers after those 3 IMO would be:
Chris Mullen
Marvin Barnes

By school:
Gtown - 6
Prov - 4
Marq - 3
Nova - 3
DePaul - 2
SJU - 2
XU - 1
Creighton - 1

Of the players that I have personally watched, I think the 2nd team would be:
Wade
Iverson
Kittles
Aquire
Cummings

Chones would've locked up a second AA (and probably an MU FF at least) but left halfway through the season.

Also any list that has Mcdermott over Iverson and Wade I don't trust... no disrespect to Mcdermott he was great but Iverson and Wade are top 25 basketball players all time.

The problem with that though is that this should be best college team. McDermott in college was better than Iverson and Wade. Sorry but Iverson and Wade only playing 2 years really hurts their argument on being on a COLLEGE list.

I agree that Iverson and Wade are better players but MCDermott was a 3x AA and finished his career in the top 10 in scoring. He, IMO, had the better college career than both of those guys. I can't see how a 3x AA can be left off.

Your 1st team vs your 2nd team would be a hell of a game to watch. Although, I was too young to watch any of those guys that played before the 90's - ill just go off their reputation and career stats.

Incredible individual player, who failed to get his team to the sweet 16 three times. You look at all but three of the other players on that list they carried their teams in the tournament. McDermott failed at that. I respect him immensely, he was outstanding and as a Bulls fan I hope he does great in the pros as well. But in crunch time he couldn't carry his team like those other guys did.

People who I'd argue also don't belong in discussion for first team because they never showed the ability to carry a team:
Ryan Gomes
Otto Porter
Kerry Kittles

2014 was clearly a flop, but c'mon. In 2012 we were the 8 seed going up against the 1 seed North Carolina in the Round of 32 and in 2013 we were the 7 seed going up against the 2 seed Duke in the Round of 32. Both Carolina and Duke went to the Elite 8 after defeating us.

I would advise you to re-review your 1st Team and take a very good look at Mark Aguirre and Terry Cummings from DePaul....BOTH being on that first team. Look at both their college and pro career together. Hard to beat.

Youtube has several of their games.

And I watched almost all these players in-person while attending DePaul games over the last 47 years.
