I hope "Caen Calvados" means French National Basketball Team cause that is a lopsided loss....

The article decided to tell us that the driver who took DePaul to Mt St Michel was named "Joop Timmers".  Not sure why it was significant enough for Timmers to be mentioned in the 3rd paragraph.

Looks like Caen has a player from Kent State and another from James Madison.

Friendly reminder to all, take Foreign Game results with a grain of salt. That being said though, this is definitely bad for DePaul's confidence.

The funniest thing in all of this was their twitter account trolling a bit on DePaul after the game: https://twitter.com/CaenBC14/status/631561160270180354

Caen is in the top tier of French pro basketball leagues, which means they're pretty darn good, but still disappointing for DePaul to get rocked the way it did.

Lighten up, everyone! DePaul has a completely new coaching staff and will go through more experiments than most other teams.....especially since Purnell taught zero defense. In addition, DePaul has a few players that are not allowed to play on this trip for various reasons.

Expect more blowouts as this program tries to "right the ship". This process will take more than one game! Maybe more than 1-2 years as Leitao starts bringing in his own players.

Again... it is BEST that St. John's and DePaul improve their programs if the Big East wants to reach its HIGHEST potential.

That's 'Chicago State' in French.

To be fair, they played a professional team. 2 of their players are Americans and one of 'em played in the D-league (2005 NBA draft-undrafted). Their remaining 3 games are against other professional teams in the French league. I actually like how DL scheduled these games instead of just facing off against French college kids. There is a good chance they might go home 0-4.

Louisville lost to Puerto Rico's national team by 34 points, but I assuming they're better than the teams DePaul is playing. They're 15th in the FIBA rankings and have two NBA players (both are pretty established: Maurice Harkless, Jose Juan Barea).

You know we love you DePaul. Really though, they beat a formidable amount of BE Teams last year so DePaul is trending up in my eyes.
