Best in Conf - 2G

1. DSR
2. Archidiacono
3. Dunham
4. Whitehead
5. Miles Davis
6. Duane Wilson
7. Milliken
8. Lindsey
9. Currington
10. Miles Stewart

I guess the case can be made that DSR and Arch can also be considered PG's. In Nova's case I believe Brunson will spend the majority of the time at the point. And in G'towns case their Princeton offense does not rely on a traditional PG, and DSR plays more like a 2G IMO.

I have a feeling that Phil Booth will be there this year.

Relative to MU's Jajuan Johnson. He is more of a 3/wing. Should really have Duane Wilson on that list as a 2G.

Sorry about that MU fans. Made the change. All of those guards named "Wilson" at MU sometimes throws me off. Mea culpa.

Don't understand Davis or Wilson. Same APG and RPG but Wilson has a higher PPG. But maybe you like other stats?

They both are extremely close from a statistical standpoint. It's actually eerie how similar their stats are.

Mins / game - slight edge Wilson
PPG - slight edge Wilson (but would be close to a push if Davis played as many minutes)
Rebs - identical
Assists - identical
Steals - push
Blocks - slight edge Wilson (but neither are big shot blockers)
TO's - slight edge Davis (Wilson has more)
FG% - identical (both exactly .394)
FT% - Davis by a lot
3P% - Davis by a decent margin

I'd say between those two it is a toss-up. I could probably go either way. Wilson maybe a more dynamic scorer but Davis a better pure shooter who you want handling the ball at the end of the game. I admire you sticking up for your player as a MU fan. I don't think it is clear cut either way from a statistical standpoint.

Then I suppose it comes down to what type of play you want to run at the end of the game. I'd take Wilson driving the hoop over Davis shooting a three. I'd be curious to see the pct compared to attempted shots as well. Obviously as you shoot more the pct is going to go down.

Myles Davis will be playing a lot of PG for X, especially at the beginning of the season. Edmond Sumner will be playing the 1/2 until he gets some experience. Mack sez he's 100% healthy now and has added 20-25 lbs. This kid has a huge ceiling, extremely quick, talented, agile and one of those guys who glide around the court with deceptive speed. A lot of people thought he was the best PG on the team LAST YEAR, before his medical redshirt. I expect him to be running the team by conf. time. Austin is a kid in the Dee Davis mold.
