Just saw the headline...

Our friends and lax conference-mates, the U of Denver Pioneers, won the men's lacrosse national championship.
They beat Maryland 10-5 today after beating Notre Dame in the semi's.

So, men's ice hockey and lacrosse were won by Big East schools.
Men's soccer had 3 of us in the Final-8 and 1 Final Four.
Lookin' good...! Nice to see...!

Go Denver! Go Big East!

Had the topic going on the lacrosse thread, but Denver was on of the best teams all year. Was hoping Georgetown and Marquette could've made the tournament. That's the goal for the Big East years to come.

Definitely would have been nice, but since there are only 8 at-large bids to the lacrosse tournament you really have to be in the top 10 to feel like you have a good shot. Georgetown, at 12, just missed the cutoff. Marquette, despite ending the year as the 17th best team in the country, unfortunately didn't have a chance.

The University of Denver is only an associate member of the Big East Conference, their primary conference is the Summit League.
Providence College ice hockey isn't in the Big East Conference, they are in the Hockey East Association, their primary conference is the Big East Conference

I don't understand your point. U of Dever is an affiliate member in mens Lacrosse. Since that is the sport they won the championship in it is clearly a Big East championship
