Who does your fan base hate the most in conference and who do they hate most out of conference?

St. John's is Georgetown in conference and Syracuse out of conference.

Not sure I'd categorize it as "hated"--especially since we all seem to have banded together in brotherhood these days--but in conf I'd say G'town. '85, similar type schools, probably the 2 schools with the most consistent success of the holdover BE schools so when we meet it normally has conf standing implications.

OOC: St. Blows. We have treated them like a inmate who was traded for a pack of cigarettes over the years but their fans are absolutely delusional about their program.

Butler/Cincinnati

Xavier/Indiana

In conference: Villanova, (St. John's in second place in conference)
out of conference: Syracuse (For me Maryland is 2nd since I'm from the DMV, maybe Uconn 3rd)

Wisconsin. It used to be Notre Dame in conference... Now that they're gone I don't think I really hate anyone. I hate Nova and Gtown because they're the only other schools I feel are on our level as far as overall basketball success but I respect them as other standards bearers. I'd like to hate DePaul because they're right down 94 and there's the history but I actually pity them. I think creighton is trying to push for a rivalry with us so I guess them?

In conference - I don't know. MU Boxer...Marquette is like a big brother to Creighton. We have much respect for the Warriors / GE's. Have a long history of games, but not much recently until we joined the conference.

If I had to guess at a rival I'd say X. We've played them a good deal over the last decade or so.
I personally love Philly and the Jays generally play well there (Drexel, St. Joe's, and Villanova), so I hope we can develop a rivalry with Villanova.

G'twn is easy to hate as JT3 wouldn't knuckle under to university presidential pressure and give us a game (until we joined the conference), and as a DMV resident for over 10 years I was witness to their refusal to play any local DMV teams. But I don't see them as a rival.

Out of conference - if we can resign a deal with Cal - that has the makings of a good rivalry. We have signed ASU (and have played twice recently in exempt tourneys) to a H&H - it has the makings of a rivalry. Hopefully we continue the series with Oklahoma, and then there is Always Fresno St.

OOC: Cincinnati
IC: tough one, no one to hate. We have a decent history with Butler so probably them. I know a lot of fans care about providence because of the Pete Gillian connection. Personally I care most about the Georgetown games, since I was at the game that X beat the Hoyas to get to the Sweet 16, but I don't think the Hoya fans really care anymore about X then any other team in the conference. since a rivalry needs to be two sided, I guess that rules out Georgetown

UC out of conference, no one really in conference. The closest in conference to "hate" might be Butler however I have never heard a XU fan get worked up about Butler.

Okay for you new guys let me ask you this then since you haven't been with the rest of us yet to have a rival in conference. Who would you like to see become your rival moving forward?
