Saying he "lost" them implies that he "had" them. He never did, so let it go.

He lost out on them.
All I said at first, and I'll say it again. Mullin has done a great job this year. Just being able to field a competitive team this year is remarkable basically losing everyone. But to take it to the next level, he's got to actually land those top 50 level players, not just be in the game for them. He's landed good players, not great, game changing players.
stever20 wrote:The problem is quite frankly- a full recruiting cycle won't be until the class of 2017. I mean this year already 20 of the top 50 for 2016 are committed.
Look. If I was doing Mullin's offseason on a scale of 1-10, I'd give him like a 8-9. Not perfect, but very very good.
billyjack wrote:As Omaha said, Mullin didn't "lose" any recruits. That's a ridiculous word to use. What did happen was that a high-level, top-shelf recruit considered St John’s to be elite enough to make the final cut. The recruit chose a different, also elite program at NC State.

The guy has had 4 months on the job. Bill Self, etc, have been on these recruits for years. Crazy.
