1. Nova - still have a ton of talent that knows how to play together
2. Xavier - jalen reynolds should challenge Kris dunn for player of the year
3. Butler - losing barlow, but should be able to replace him with the kid from Nc state. Lots of good players remain
4. Seton hall - I am not giving up on Kevin willard yet. Maybe I'm a fool, but I think he has the talent and they will grow from this year
5. Providence - Kris Dunn, Ben Bentil, there is some potential in this lineup
6. Georgetown - tons of talent, but losing some key players
7. DePaul - my darkhorse to make a run at the dance. They need to get it done out of conference this year though
8. Marquette - still a year away in my opinion. Looking forward to see Ellison, but not sure if he has the supporting cast, yet
9. Creighton - still rebuilding
10. Johnnies - too many questions. If they keep obekpa, the prince of north philly, and add Diallo then they can slip up to middle of the pack. Still have no depth even with those guys
Really tough to sort this out. Not a dog in the bunch. Each team can enter the season realistically thinking about dancing. The teams really need to perform in November and December to set the league up rpi-wise to justify 6, or even a 7th, bid. It can be done.
Again, not sure about the top end talent. Nova will start the season top 10, but I think they finish more like 10-20. Might be one of those years where we send 6 or 7 teams, but as a bunch of teams seeding 3-9 with a couple last in/out bubble candidates.
