OT: NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tourney:

Providence 7, Miami (Ohio) 5.
played at the Dunk in Providence.

Friars made the Final-8 with their win tonight.
Tomorrow vs Denver, winner is in the Frozen Four.

On the call on ESPN-U is former Channel-12 (Providence) cub-sportscaster John Buccigross, and former NHL-er Barry Melrose.

Weird situation, exact opposite of PC-Dayton situation... higher seed Miami from SW Ohio has traveled 800 miles to a lower seed's backyard.

Nice win, PC.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Wild game at the end as Miami pulled the goalie with 12 minutes left down 6-2 and almost tied it. Wild finish.

I'm glad PC won as if they didn't, it would have been very unjust- I was watching the ESPN top 10 and 2 remarkable Miami plays were on there, including the empty net play with right at a minute to go that may be the most remarkable hockey play I've ever seen.
