Honestly, I don't think that contract extensions mean all that much anymore with regard to whether a coach will stay. I seem to remember that Steve Alford got a long extension from New Mexico just before he left for UCLA. I think that this situation is different in that Holtmann is so new as a head coach. Unless there is some sort of bond to the school, if we want to keep our successful coaches, we are going to have to match or come close to the Football5 in terms of salary!
