Not to open old wounds but I thought this was interesting. Can't confirm if it is legit. Apologies if this was already posted.

We should just put all posters that joined this week on a month long probation. Think of it as "Precrime" from Minority Report.

Really think the teams that have to play the Play-in teams are at a huge disadvantage. I think if PC had been able to play Dayton in the regular 6/11 game, they may very well have been able to beat them.

Ole Miss may disagree after the carpet bombing they endured 2 days later. It certainly drives the coaching staff nuts.
IMO, small conference teams just don't have the visibility of a big money conference team. Not to besmirch XU's success but is it fair to say they had an easier (or more efficient) time prepping for Ole Miss vs PC prepping for Dayton? Both were very good teams.

Maybe Dayton is a whole lot better team than Ole Miss was. I think it's fair to say the committee screwed up royally in seeding Dayton the way they did.

Also, I wouldn't say the A10 doesn't have visibility. Dayton's last 12 games of the regular season/conference tourney-
2 on ESPN2
4 on CBSSN
3 on NBCSN
1 on ESPNU
1 on CBS
1 on WHIO(I'm assuming a local channel)...

1 thing that I think has got to be looked at is the play in game.... Since the PIG came around, the winners are 5-5 in the next round. So 1 of 2 things is happening. Either the committee is screwing up royally on seeding, or there's a big advantage in playing that PIG before the 2nd round....

Also look at this updated thru this year:
1 20-0
2 17-3
3 16-4/1-0 vs pig
4 17-3/0-1 vs pig
5 11-9/2-1 vs pig
6 10-10/2-3 vs pig
7 14-6
8 15-5

The committees I think looking at this are doing a horrible job seeding the 7-12 lines. There is no way in heck that the 7's should have a 14-6 edge over 10's, or 8's a 15-5 edge over 9's. I think the committee has been over seeding some of the 9/10's and underseeding the 11/12's.

Ole Miss played Dayton this year at Dayton and lost by 4, 78-74.

X played them on a neutral site and won by 19.

I know comparing scores is pointless, but...

Wow, you know what is amazing is that Dayton was seeded below Ole Miss, given the head to head. I can just imagine if UConn had knocked Dayton out of the tourney the outrage of the committee ignoring that head to head.

shows maybe head to head doesn't mean as much as it used to.

really amazing seeing the differences in the years. The previous 5 years would be like you would think it should be- a pretty linear relationship. Just hasn't been the case recently. The play-in game definitely with some impacts there I would say.

But can anyone really explain why the 7/8's are doing so much better now than before the play-in game came around? That just makes no sense at all to me.
