There was another thread about the Big East being a mid major and not on the same level as the P5. The immediate responses were trolling so I moved it. Trust me, its been more than a hassle trying to keep the board free of trolls the past few days.

It's been frustrating as regulars, but I think most of us get it. It's a hard job.
Within a few weeks the off-season will be here and the board will become quite a bit quieter.

As a reminder, the P5 means football not basketball.

You would also be amazed (or maybe would not) at how many posters sign up with a name that implies fandom of a certain school... let's use a made up moniker like HoyaFan as an example, but then their first post is a manifesto about how the BigEast needs to expand and Dayton and VCU are the schools we should add. And when I trace the IPs back, HoyaFan just happens to be posting from Dayton or Richmond. Not joking, there were probably 8-10 over the weekend alone.

Sadly, I am not amazed.
Perhaps that is something we should be encouraged by as a conference. Even though some A-10 fans berate us, they would more than love to join us. That's a sign of respect for what we have.

Ok, maybe my original thread was a bit acerbic, I still think the main message needs to be said. Also I should note I have been posting here for a long time and am not some Dayton troll getting his rocks off our poor tournament performance.

The reality is any school that isn't a P5 school is in the same boat. That doesn't mean we can't win national championships, but we will never be favored to do so. Unless we start accepting 30k+ students we will never get the amount of $ that the public schools do. I am fine with that, having been a Xavier fan my whole life. But I think BE, A-10 and AAC fans need to realize that we will always be the Davids to the P5 Goliath. And this is new to the C7, but it is the truth.
