I was thinking the same thing Hoya. And the beautiful thing about that is it's not only a Big East accomplishment - the three schools are still Big East teams.

yeah, great point.

I was really worried because if Notre Dame won, the other 2 games are very reasonable for the ACC to win- Louisville vs Michigan St(even though MSU is a 2.5 pt favorite) and Duke vs Gonzaga(Duke a 2.5 pt favorite).

Now, wouldn't it be something if Michigan St and Gonzaga both win and the mighty ACC gets 0 teams into the final 4?

saw this tweet just now

The Big 12 now has zero teams remaining in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Double round-robin made league look better than it actually was.

I think it's kind of interesting the thought that a commentator is saying the double round-robin makes a league look better than it actually was. don't think I have ever really heard someone saying that. Just looking at the tourney as a whole- the conferences with the double round-robin- the Big East, Big 12, WCC, and MVC had decent results. What Xavier, Oklahoma, WVU, Gonzaga, and Wichita making the sweet 16. Yeah a few upsets in there for sure- Iowa St, Baylor, and Nova come to mind.

Maybe in the top 5- but I don't think any game is going to come close to the one we had last night.

No doubt. I almost added that to my comment.

UK v ND and Michigan State v Louisville were two classic games. Indy is breathing easier now that Kentucky is in. The expectation is that KY fans will outnumber Duke + Wisconsin + MSU fans. The only negative is that a some KY fans will return to Kentucky/S Indiana/SW Ohio on Saturday night, cutting down on Sunday spending in Indy.

I think if I was going to give another game this weekend the classic game title it would be the Wisconsin/Arizona game. I didn't think the Michigan St/Louisville game was all that great, definitely not in the same realm as the 2 Saturday games.
