NCAA tourney - discussion non-BIGEAST games

Thought it might be a good idea to have a single thread to house tourney discussion. Getting ready to be completely unproductive in just a couple of hours.

Don't think I've ever seen such an ugly first 4 games as we have 1st set this afternoon. Saw this 538 thing on ESPN talking about the odds of a perfect bracket and they were doing each game cumulatively. They have the odds for the 1st 4 games of getting it right at something like 1 in 1.6...c

UAB knocks off Iowa St. 60-59. Big 12 down a team.

Doesn't the upsets happen in games people don't talk about? UAB and almost Northeastern.

Cue the UAB to the Big East talk. In all seriousness, congrats to UAB. They got absolutely hosed with regards to their football program. The students and alumni needed something like this to maintain interest with their sports programs.

Iowa State was absolutely in disbelief when the game ended. I'm betting they were looking past today's game.

I'm pretty sure they were thinking ahead to next weekend quite frankly. They had a UAB/SMU/Gonzaga run to get to the elite 8. Not so fast my friend!!!

Pulling for UCLA. Would be hilarious if SMU got bounced in the opening round. :D
