BEAST shows its teams belong and pull off a 5-1 opening round

Ye of little faith! We will beat the Aztecs. San Diego State couldn't score in a Tijuana whore house with a pocket full of hundreds. We might not have Obekpa but we have beaten a few of you guys without him this season already. We will win by 7.

Big East goes 6-0 first round.

No offense Johnnies, but I see you losing that game too (especially without Obekpa). I hope I'm wrong.

The Butler-Texas game is a tough one to predict too as who knows which Texas team will show up. Texas is a really bad match-up for Butler as they are extremely athletic. Of course, Barnes is a terrible coach so that cancels out the advantage somewhat.

I expect the Big East teams to roll in the other games.

to me- best case obviously is 6-0. St John's rolls SDSU, PC, X, and Butler win their tough matchups, and Georgetown/Nova roll...

worst case is 1-5. SDSU, PC, X, and Butler all fall- and Georgetown has another embarrassing loss. Only Nova wins.

What I think does happen- we go 4-2. Nova, Georgetown roll, and we split the other 4 games.

I have a good feeling about St. John's. SDST can't score.

think the key is going to be how games are reffed....

1st 4 games-
Hampton/Manhattan- 44 fouls, 55 ft
BYU/Ole Miss- 44 fouls, 50 ft
Robert Morris/North Florida 44 fouls, 59 ft
Dayton/Boise 32 fouls, 24 ft

so outside of the last game(where the refs did swallow their whistle last 10 minutes)- it's going to be called really tight.
