Big East attendance

Found this on the providence scout board

Attendance for the schools is rocking. 9 out of the 10 teams are over 8k, and half the league is in double digits. Oh yeah, and our two top teams are in rebuilding mode.

1. Jays 17057
2. Warriors 15010
3. Hoyas 10633
4. Cats 10229
5. X-men 10168
6. Friars 9915
7. Pirates 8444
8. Redmen 8036
9. Dogs 8021
10. Demons 6807 (I assume depaul is using the tickets sold method of counting as opposed to the turnstile method)

Johnnies v georgetown was a sell out last week at msg. Nova packed it in for cuse (and then boeheim claimed that cuse was the only team that can fill the wfc for nova, which was a wtf comment), but they also put 19k+ in the seats for the Hoyas and Redmen.

Friars are only 3k below capacity in friartown. Would like to see them bump back above 10k.

What's the capacity at the rock for the pirates without the upper bowl open? 10k?

Johnnies / G'Town didn't sell out last week. It was something in the area of 13,600.

Every sport goes by tickets sold, not just DePaul.

For extra bragging rights. With an average of 10,168 for Xavier with a seat capacity of 10,250 that puts us at 99.2% capacity.

I love that Xavier joined the Big East. One home game that hurt was a 10pm game on NYE.

Bulldogs near the bottom, but capacity is around 9k. Those 9pm weekday tips hurt BU's numbers significantly.

The Big East should have give away days like they have in baseball. Free T shirts, calenders , etc.
Seton Hall and St. John's should play at MSG. Butler and Xavier play at MSG and Seton Hall plays at Carneseca arena in Queens ?

Friars would be over 10k per for BE but for second year in a row a major blizzard screwed us. Had to play DePaul on a Thursday afternoon in front of 3,500. Would have been more than double that if reg scheduled time. Last 4 games for PC over 12,000 per game. Have to figure out how to get our fans more engaged to some of the cupcakes in OOC and first half of BE schedule.
Let's Go FRIARS!
