DePaul needs to beat Marquette at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on 3/7/2015 to ensure they stay at #7 in conference. They'll have to play Marquette twice in a row if they win @ Marquette on Saturday. Unless Seton Hall loses to Georgetown on Saturday also.

Nice work MUBasketball and stever20 – much appreciated.
As Xavier (18-12) already has a lock on the # 6 seed, I wonder who Chris Mack would want to play in the Musketeers’ opening BET game, bearing in mind that it is hard to beat a good team three times in one season:
• Georgetown (who Xavier has twice beaten),
• St. John’s (who Xavier has twice lost to), or
• Providence (with whom Xavier has split)
Xavier Musketeers – RPI Breakdown: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketb ... musketeersXavier Musketeers – RPI Forecast with Big East Tourney Included: http://www.rpiforecast.com/teams/ct/Xavier.htmlRPI Forecast shows conflicting projections for Xavier.
In the top box, Xavier is projected to finish with a
20-13 record (meaning a win at Creighton and a first-round BET win over the # 3 seed), resulting in an expected RPI Ranking of
45.7.
The second box (
RPI FORECAST by FINAL RECORD), shows that the most likely record for Xavier is
19-13 (35% probability; meaning a win at Creighton and a first-round BET loss to the # 3 seed), resulting in an expected RPI Ranking of
52.8 The second-most likely record for Xavier is
18-14 (16% probability; meaning a loss at Creighton and a first-round BET loss to the # 3 seed), resulting in an expected RPI Ranking of
63.6.
The second box also shows that
20-13 is the fourth-most likely record for Xavier, with a 14% probability.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
