2015-16 Exempt Tourney thread

1 thing interesting now for Georgetown- I'm assuming they will want Duke in the title game, so Georgetown may be stuck playing Wisconsin in the SF while Duke gets VCU. Takes Wisconsin out of the mix for Georgetown playing them in the Gavett games as well. Kind of guessing we'd see Maryland possibly- or maybe someone like a Ohio St or Michigan St.

It's funny because when the Gavitt games were announced Half the Hoya fans were like awesome we get to play Maryland. The other half was like we don't want to play maryland they suck we want to play a good team like Michigan St. Now it looks like we can have our cake and eat it too. I definitely thought Maryland would stink with their mass exodus and dependence on Freshmen, but they're certainly better than I expected. I don't buy them as top 10 good, but they're certainly top 20 and should be again next year.

Yeah I agree 100%. Will be very interesting for Maryland this year in the tourney- I don't think they're quite as good as their rank. I see Lunardi still has it as Maryland 3 in Pittsburgh and guess who the 6 is in Pittsburgh? That's right, Georgetown.

With Duke and Wisconsin playing last night, I think it pretty much guarantees the semifinal matchups being Duke/VCU and Wisconsin/Georgetown.

Not too bad. Would kind of expect Nova to get Georgia Tech in the SF to set up the best possible title game.

bit surprised that DePaul is playing South Carolina 1st game and not in where Norfolk St/Indiana St play. Huge 1st game for DePaul- or the tourney could be South Carolina/Hofstra/Ohio or Indiana St or Norfolk St.
