Xavier 9 MW- vs 8 Michigan St, then #1 Kentucky in Louisville
Providence 6 MW- vs 11 Stanford/Boise St, then #3 Notre Dame in Columbus
Butler 5 W vs 12 Iona, then 4 North Carolina in Jacksonville
St John's PIG E vs NC State, then 5 Maryland, then #4 Northern Iowa in Pittsburgh
Villanova 2 E vs 15 Florida Gulf Coast, then #7 Indiana/#10 Cincy in Pittsburgh
Georgetown 6 S vs 11 Illinois, then #3 Utah in Portland
St John's #34/36 at large teams in.
Seton Hall not mentioned any longer.
AAC
SMU 6 W
Temple 9 W
Cincy 10 E(the 4th to last team with a 1st rd bye)
Tulsa 3rd team out right now
A10
VCU 6 E
Dayton 8 S
Davidson 2nd team out right now
Rhode Island 7th team out right now
UMass 8th team out right now
The thing that is amazing to me is folks on here want to moan about the AAC all the time, but the A10 is having a much worse year.

I would gladly take an Illinois, Utah, Kansas, Duke path.

have to say i'd be kind of glad to face an Illinois 1st rather than a team like we've seen in the recent past.... no upstart VCU, FGCU, etc.

I don't think the Committee would make PC beat ND again or Butler beat UNC again. I don't think that is fair. Also you'd want to be in the West. Gonz and Ariz. as the two top seeds? Right now if the top 8 teams are as presented, I have Gonzaga 6th (barely) and Ariz. 8th.
In my humble opinion (#'s, eye test, etc.) I have the following:
1. UK
2. UVA
3. Duke
4. Wisc.
5. Nova
6. Gonzaga
7. Kansas
8. Ariz.
Barring some bad losses to any of these teams I think you'll see:
1. UVA/Duke vs. 2. Nova - East
1. UK vs. 2. Ariz. - MW
1. Wisc. - 2. Gonzaga - West
1. UVA/Duke vs. 2. Kansas - South

These brackets change daily. Check back tomorrow. Also, UVA and Duke can meet in the ACC tourney. Will one of them get knocked out of a #1 seed?

The A10 wasn't the former home to 7/10 current Big East members, nor does any team in that conference have the historical success of UConn, Cinncy, Temple, and Memphis. Furthermore, there are relationships between UConn-everyone in the BE, Cinncy-Xavier, and Nova-Temple that stretch back decades while only Xavier has a significant history with the A10.

Temple joined the A-10 in '82, Xavier '95. One wonders where Dayton would finish with Temple, Butler and Xavier still in the conference and with their recent add of G Mason, etc..

Lol! Xavier beats Cincinnati but gets a worse draw in this theoretical bracket!! Amazing how things work out...

I remember this board put the AAC and A-10 to bed in December.
