Tough news for Butler (and Big East) fans as Andrew Chrabascz is out a minimum of 3 weeks with a broker finger per a report from Adam Zagoria. Could miss up to 6 weeks.

Hopefully he can return for some post season play.

Adam isn't correct. Here is what I posted in the GDT earlier today.

Officially nothing is official except it isn't a finger.

Ouch. That sucks. If it's any consolation playing Georgetown seems to heal all wounds based on past History. Seriously every single player listed as quesitonable or Out for one of our games makes a miraculous recovery and plays. So expect Chrabascz back by March 3rd.

Butler fans: Who do you think will take his time at PF? Martin? Wideman? Etherington? Will Jones slip to the 4?

so just looking-
2 weeks-
@ Creighton, @ Xavier, Marquette, @ DePaul

3rd week-
Georgetown, @ Providence

4th week-
BE Tourney

Obviously if it's 2 weeks- it's close to as good of a 4 games to miss as there would be.

Butler's already in the NCAA Tournament barring a complete meltdown. As long as he's healthy for the NCAA tournament, that's what matters. Hopefully, he's healthy sooner, but the NCAAs are the most important thing.

The thing that is rough about that is this could easily impact the seeding. They lose say 3 of the final 6 games(the 3 tougher ones)- they are 21-10 and then a 1st rd exit. Could drop them from the 5-6 line down to the 8-9 line.
