Four Big East games on Sat...

12:30pm, St John's at Xavier. FOX.
1pm, Marquette at Creighton. FS1.
4pm, Seton Hall at Providence.
6pm, #6 Villanova at #18 Butler. CBS-SN.

I say the Big East goes 4-4 in these games.

I'd say the first 3 home teams and Nova win.

3pm, St John's at Xavier.

The time got changed over a month ago. As FOX now has the doubleheader with Oregon at UCLA, with Gus Johnson and Jim Jackson as the 3pm game.

Thanks, I switched SJ-XU for 12:30pm on FOX.

Hey, Oregon at UCLA is a good plug for FOX. Key game there as both are on the bubble.

Ugh...I don't get CBSSN. Any other way to watch? I can listen on the radio (610 I think in Philly), but I'll kinda be busy making/eating Vday dinner with the lady around then...

I know these are set beforehand, but it kinda blows that the matchup of two ranked teams is getting dumped on the 'worst' station

It's pretty embarrassing for the conference that this game is CBSSN. Nova wins this game, and we can confidently declare them Big East regular season champions (unless something really crazy happens). Butler wins, and it is potentially a two-horse race.

CBSSN is regularly used by the A-10. Hell, even NCBSN would be better. That channel is at least basic cable.

Ugh. Oh well. FS1 really dropped the ball on this one.

I know the Lavin disciples and defenders of his honor will get after me again, but the truth is SJU has a terrible track record of really winning those late season conference games they need to help solidify their NCAA tourney hopes. They seem to cower in these spots. And there always seems to be an injury to a key player holding him out of the lineup when we need him most. That guy is Obekpa today. We also missed Jordan against Butler. A few years back we lost Harrison for suspension at the end of the season. A few years before that we lost Kennedy to a bad injury right before the tourney.

At some point we need to win a game we really have no business winning like @Xavier, @G'Town, or @Nova. Then we need to protect home court. Stainbrook is going to have a field day against a team of midgets today. Even with Obekpa I remember him putting it in at will. Now without him or any real big, it will be a joke and could get very ugly fast.

Xavier: 82
SJU: 70
