Figured it was a good time to start the weekly look at the conference tournament picture. I will try to post these weekly every Sunday.

Thanks for the update MUBasketball.

I think that would set up well to get the maximum number of bids. Especially if X could get by G'town.

If today...winners by round:
St. John's
Creighton

Villanova
Butler
Georgetown
Xavier

Villanova
Xavier

Villanova
Butler University '03

I think Marquette would have a good shot vs. St. John's at a neutral location, but MSG is one of St. John's home courts. I think it would be a 50/50 chance for both Marquette & St. John's.
DePaul beat Creighton by 10 points in Omaha, NE I cannot picture DePaul losing to the Bluejays.

While it is nice to see where the Big East would be seeded if the season ended today, a lot could change before March 11, 2015.

of course we get Butler...the one team I'd want SHU to avoid at all costs. At least it's only February 1st...plenty of time for it to change.

Very Cool MUBasketball. This will be fun to follow as we all head to NYC. Also will help with teams having the same league records and how the tiebreakers will come into play (Xavier/DePaul for example since they spilt their season series this year).

After Sat., might not want Providence either. Bit of a dilemma.

Using RPI Forecast to project the Final rankings, here's another way to look at it. (I hope I have the tie breaker formula right.)

8. DePaul (7-11)
9. Marquette (5-13) > 1. Villanova (13-5)

.......................... 4. Seton Hall 10-8)
.......................... 5. Xavier (10-8)

.......................... 3. Georgetown (12-6)
.......................... 6. Providence (10-8)

7. St. John's (8-10) >> 2. Butler(12-6)
10. Creighton (3-15)
