2 Big East games Wed night...
7pm, Seton Hall at Marquette, FS2. [edited: thanks westbrook and stever]
9pm, St John's at Creighton, FS1.
Big games tonight.
Seton Hall trying to recapture their mojo.
St John's was in a great position to beat Duke the other day.
Creighton and Marquette have played a bunch of tight games recently with only a couple of exceptions.
There are no easy games on the Big East schedule. These brawls will go a long way to prep our teams for the postseason and for future years.

As close to Must win games in January as you get for Seton Hall and St John's.

If St. John's can play with the same fire they showed against Duke, I'd expect them to be comfortable 8-10 point winners. If not, it'll be a battle and Creighton could escape with its 1st BE win of the year. Prediction- SJU
In the other game, both teams are on 3 game losing streaks but Marquette appears to be in better form as they were all very close losses to tough competition and 2 of the 3 were on the road. Seton Hall, on the other hand, lost two close ones at home and was dominated for the full 40 minutes on the road at Butler. Prediction- Marquette

As odd as it may seem, Creighton is really helping the league. With Depaul sucking up some wins, there really needs someone to lose just about every game for maximum utility for the Big East in March.

If St John's could consistently play with that fire- they would be a top 15 team easy. But the problem is they don't, and therefore, they aren't.
And also, if SJU played with that fire, it would be a whole lot more than just a 8-10 point game.

Very possible, but I'm trying to give Creighton some credit and say they still keep it respectable at home.

Seton Hall @ Marquette isn't on FS1 tonight. US men's soccer is playing @ Chile tonight and that coverage runs from 5:30 to 8:30, followed by BE pre-game show, then the St. John's/Creighton game.

Seton Hall @ Marquette is on FS2, not FS1.

Actually agree with Stever here. If it wasn't my Jays they were facing, I'd be rooting for SJU.

Incredibly even first half between SHU and MU.
Both teams an identical 12-30 from the field
SHU +1 board, +1 foul
MU +2 asst and +1 steal
Even blocks and turnovers.
Only difference is 2 more of SHU's 12 field goals were for 3.
