That was an ugly 1st half but turned out to bean exciting game after that. Don't see to many wins for at johns with a 6 man roster.

D'Angelo was hurt. Couldn't elevate on his jumper. Jordan, Greene and Pointer needed to step up. Green didn't do much in the 2nd half. Pointer was invisible all game. Jordan didn't come through on that last drive but, otherwise, he had a decent game.

Amazing.

SJU 2-12 from three point range after lighting up downtown Providence by going 10-17 from three vs. PC.

Guess that zone all game by Cooley wasn't a great call that night.

I was thinking that same thing all game. They shot lights out at PC 4 days ago.

Tough that Obekpa got stuck with the last shot today. Also that Harrison couldn't run the offense near the end.

SJU had been up by 11 in the early 2nd half, til DePaul hit a ton of threes.

So basically, in summary, St John's controlled most of the game, and was up double digits in the early 2nd half. DePaul decided to press and make a lot of contact. This led to a ridiculous amount of fouls, and the game got a little chippy as SJU began fouling back. It took SJU off their game by completely destroying the flow of the action. At the same time, DePaul starting hitting an insane barrage of threes; also DePaul leads the Big East in free throw shooting, and at one point they were like 20 for 22 from the line. The last 6 minutes and then the entire OT played out really tight. As a fan, it was a really exciting game.

Best DePaul win I've seen in years. The team played with heart and this played out like a heavy weight fight with each team exchanging big blows every possession.

only saving grace today is that it was a road game for St John's.

huge road trip for DePaul coming up. They play at Seton Hall, Xavier, and Providence. To me, those are the ones where if they win, it really dents a teams at large resume.
