Which 4 teams are going to play on Wed night at MSG?

Postby marq » Thu Jan 15, 2015 10:17 am

For the sake of this vote, I'm leaving Villanova, Butler, Georgetown, Seton Hall out of the voting. Of the remaining 6 schools, 4 will be playing in the play in round at the Big East tourney.

Which 4?

I only voted for the 3 obvious ones: Creighton, DePaul, Marquette.

As for who will finish 7th? Not a clue. Honestly you could throw Georgetown, Seton Hall, and Butler in there. I think the 2-7 is very even and hard to pick apart. Gun to my head I'd say St. John's. But Honestly if anyone says they're confident in how 2-7 shake out they're lying or an idiot.

So far using the logic that road wins are +1 and home losses are -1:

Georgetown +1
Butler +1
Providence 0
Xavier 0
Seton Hall 0
St. John's -1

Is this necessary?
“Even though I’m not playing I still don’t want my school to be disrespected, because I play for the name on the front of my chest, not the name on my back. I’m a part of this family now, and when they disrespected them they disrespected me”-Mo Watson Jr.

not sure why you would leave out Georgetown. We're projected 9-9 and in a 3 way tie for 5th. Means we could lose that tiebreaker and be 7th. (would say Seton Hall as well- but given they have the win over Nova, that should serve them well in any tiebreakers outside of head to head). Butler not just because they have 4 wins already and haven't played the bottom 3 at all yet.

I'd say frankly Georgetown, Marquette, DePaul, and Creighton. Probably in that order.

Can't we go back to talking about NYU joining the Big East?

I love it, we start with 3 of the harder teams to play in the conference and now we're trash. Unlike you guys who got to feast on CU, X and Marquette. It's okay, our next two games are against DePaul and Marquette so we'll be 3-3 before you know it. It's better when no one believes in us, the shock when we beat your asses brings a smile to my face.

While I agree with you, I do find it amusing how bipolar St. John's fans are.

NJRedmen, thank you for confirming for me why everyone on this site hates St. John's, it is because of posts like that

I'm not being bi-polar, i've always been positive about this team. Others have been up and down about them but i've always felt the same way.
