We've seen everyone play enough now to get a better understanding of what each teams bring to the table. Here are a few personal bold predictions as the conference season starts next week:

1. 6 teams dance: Nova, SJU, Gtown, Butler, XU & ...Prov. Marq, SHU and Creighton all are really close to the bubble but lose in "elimination" games in the BET.

2. D. Harrison is your 2014-15 BE POY

3. 1st Team BE: Harrison, DSR, Stainbrook, Henton, Dunham & Gibbs

4. 2nd Team BE: Pinkston, Hilliard, Ochefu, Chatman, Fisher

5. COY: Steve Lavin

6. Reg Season Champs: Nova

7. Conf Tourney Champs: Prov. repeats

8. Tourney: 2 teams in SW 16; 0 in E8; SHU makes the NIT FF

9. Purnell fired day after season ends

10. Whitehead forgoes eligibility and enters NBA draft. Only BE player taken in first round.

No Obekpa? He'll be second team without question. Also Whitehead enters NBA draft but goes undrafted.

Provocative list. You've got me thinking. Thanks for posting it. Merry Xmas. 8-)

You have not seen PC play too much recently if you don't have Kris Dunn on 1st or 2nd team. Best distributor, best defender. Scores 14 a game without trying. He will have a triple double this year in the BE and will come close to a quadruple double as well.

I actually agree on the first two teams, with the exception of Obekpa over Ochefu on the Second Team and Pinkston over Henton on the First Team. I think the volume of talent on Villanova hurts all of their chances to make the First Team.
I'm glad you had Chatman on the Second Team. He is going to carry Creighton through the remainder of the season and the Big East will see how valuable he is to our team this year. We will go as far as he takes us.

Here's what I've got:

POY - Harrison
COY - Wright
NOY - Fischer
FOY - too close to call between Whitehad, Bluiett, Peak

if St John's falters, I'd take Pinkston.

1st team - Pinkston, Henton, DSR, Stainbrook, Gibbs
2nd team - Dunham, Obekpa, Hilliard, Chatman, Dunn

I don't think Nova will have any players on the BE 1st team, too much balance for anyone to rack up enough stats to warrant 1st team consideration. Although I do believe 6 Nova players(Pinkston, Hilliard, Arcidiacono, Hart, Ochefu, Ennis) will either make the all BE 2nd, 3rd, or honorable mention status.

No Harrison on either team?

These BE teams predictions are always fun, and the responses are always predictable. "What are you crazy...you don't have X in the 1st or 2nd team?" This is an opinion, for God's sake. I don't even have a player from my own team on the first team and they have been the undeniable best team in the league for the past 1.5 yrs, and odds non favorite to win the league. Jeez.

So let me get out all the X's before further outrage and you can argue which of these merit greater consideration.

SJU: Obekpa, Jordan
Gtown: Smith, Peak
Prov: Dunn, Harris
X: Bluett, Reynolds
SHU: Whitehead, Delgado (my dark horse for FOY)
Butler: Woods, Jones
DePaul: Garrett Jr, Hamilton
Marq: Wilson
Creighton: Brooks?, Dingman? You tell me.

And I like Dunn a lot but I have him as the 4th or 5th best PG behind: DSR, Gibbs, Arch, and Chatman. My opinion. And I think Ochefu is better than Obekpa. My opinion.
