"I think the Big east is not gonna miss a beat. I thought they would to be honest with you. creighton was a big addition for them. we dont know it here in the east but that gentleman is one of the best coaches in our game. xavier is terrific too. so they've [the big east] got a lot of good additions, and they'll probably expand more down the road."

Pitino has always been a Big East guy - always. When he was asked if the ACC was the best conference in the history of the game, he said it could be - but the Big East had three final four teams in a season, three number one seeds a few years ago and 11 invites in 2011. When the ACC gets to that point, they will be the best, but not yet. When he's done with coaching, we should make him Big East commissioner.
