I think it is just the general policy to prevent players from transferring to other teams in the conference.

I'm sure there are stipulations in their releases, they're not 1 way streets. That said, not sure if any other Big East caliber programs would be interested. A lot of good options for them in the region, Horizon, MAC, MVC at D1 level, and also good D2 & D3 teams.

Actually, that could be a likely landing spot for them, as long as they have a few scholarships open. Buzz recruited them for the system he runs, so long as he runs the same or a very similar system, they should fit in.

I don't think so. If I recall correctly, conference rules require them to sit out 2 years instead of one if they transfer within the conference. Not an outright prohibition, but it pretty much accomplishes the same thing.

Neither player was happy under Buzz. They both said as much after he left.

Those might be solid choices for Dawson, but I think Burton winds up in a major conference.

Both seemed like very nice kids. Dawson doesn't get on the floor for Buzz and Wojo for his lack of defense. Burton's minutes went up a bit for Wojo, but hasn't lived up to the hype.
