Not sure why DePaul is playing on the road here, but hopefully they stay hot.

Funny enough, Chicago state campus is actually closer than Allstate arena to DePaul. Not a very good team, but played DePaul well a few years ago.

Road games, especially involving Depaul are a risky proposition IMO. Hopefully they avoid a pitfall.

I wouldn't worry about it being a road game. Chicago State averaged, I believe, 800 fans last year. Even DePaul should be able to get more than that out to a school just down the road.

I still do not understand why Chicago State and UMKC are in the WAC. Why wouldn't these schools try to get into conferences that are closer to where they are? I know they Chicago State went independent when Mid-Continent (Summit League) was going to kick them out.

Beggars can't be choosers. If Chicago State could be in a conference with any combination of them, Loyola, Northwestern, DePaul, UIC, Valparaiso, UNI, SIUE, SIUC, Western Illinois, Bradley, Eastern Illinois, Illinois State, and Illinois they would. Unfortunately, they can only join whatever conference invites them. Maybe if they get their academic and athletic act together the Horizon league will extend an invite.

Nice win DePaul. I don't care that most the teams they played aren't good, for the 10th placed team to be 5-1 with a win over Stanford is very impressive.
